Elder H. Bryan Richards Challenge - Stripling Warriors

Elder H. Bryan Richards, October 2004, General Conference, was sneaky in the way he presented the atonement - pointing to very popular Book of Mormon stories, and then sending listeners to the Book of Mormon to discover it for themselves. Only the Book of Mormon can bring Latter-day Saints to Christ. We have such a powerful filter against traditional Christianity that if you speak the words to us, we filter them; if we read it in the Bible, we slide past them; if you sneak it into the hymnal, we skip it. But reading it in the book, with the typeface, on the pages, by the people we love so much makes us pause. (Hopefully).

In the spirit of Helaman 5:10, answering a question left hanging from the past, I will look up the answers to his questions for us. Here is challenge one.
My first invitation to you is to find out what [the Stripling Warriors'] mothers taught them.
Answer: Alma 56:47 - if they did not doubt, God would deliver them.

My works-based eyes read the importance of not doubting. Do Not Doubt. My grace-based eyes read of a wonderful God who will deliver us. So its okay to go ahead, to not doubt, because God will deliver.
